So relieved I've finished my course, Logan's post coital expression sums it up nicely
Logan post sex and happy S£

I finished my Masters course last week, I feel like a new woman. It's such a relief to just go back to my regular juggling of work, and family :)
Work are asking me to come back full time, but think I am going to carry on part time for a while longer, feel like the boys have hardly seen me because of the course as it is.
I am stressed about the results, have this horrible feeling that I've failed, but am pushing that to the back of my mind, and just celebrating life without studying.
Does any one love the Vampire Diaries? Some of you will know that I have a bit of a thing for Vamps, but this has hooked me good. The twists and turns, and the Delena situation massages my shippers heart.
Also Dexter Season 5 starts in the Uk this summer, so will be girding my loins and watching again.

A great take on New York state of mind.

Newport is just down the road from me, hope you can understand the accents.

Can't wait...

For True Blood Season 3 to start here in the UK. I have my eye on some fan fic   I've had to wait to read them in case of spoilers. I have heard that Season 3 is viewed more favourably with season 2. Any opinions on this?
Also watched the first episode of Glee S2 a few days ago, I love that show, but am hearing that it's going down the toilet? Come on my American viewing friends, let me know your views, without given any plot away of course.

For any one who is interested, I'm still doing my MA. My first essay mark was a bit lack lustre, but come on it's been years since I last studied. I did have an important meeting today, and the feedback about my progress with my key skills was pretty good. I just can't help wondering whether I want to spend the rest of my working life (and lets face it, that's now extended) being a social worker. Any good things about the job, are being taken away. I'm underpaid and underappreciated.  I have to cope with the stress of dealing with with suicidal people. And the anxiety I will call it wrong, and some one will die. Argh.

The agony of writing academic essays again.

I feel that I am too old for this shit. I last studied in 2000, and now I am being made to do a professional qualification at MA level and it's doing my  head in. I have just adjusted to working part time again, and for the most part I like that. The kids are not so keen, but they've had me all to themselves for 5 years, now it's my time..
I really want to spend the time when I am not working, with my family, with my boys. I really resent having to clositer myself away in my study and read very boring text books, in order to write an essay. We have also just two gorgeous kittens from the RSCPA, who I want to spend time with, they are called Sam and Silke. (pronounced Silker)

I'm scared I'm going to fail, and I just don't feel that I have enough time to devote myself to this course in the way that I should in order to ensure that I pass. But it's not optional, I have to do it, in order to get back to where I was in my career pre kids, and work are insistent that I do it. For all that us women have moved on in the last few decades, having children (don't get me wrong I love mine to bits) is always going to hinder us professionally. Maybe I will never get back to where I was, do I even want to?

And of course all this studying is taking time away from my favourite programmes! Finally saw Dexter, having spent the whole of season 4 regretting accidently seeing a spoiler for the finale. That programme is amazing, incredibly disturbing though, we always have to psyche ourselves up for viewing it, but then end up doing a marathon of recorded episodes, as it's just so fantastic, does any one else do that with Dexter? Or another programme?

Have just started watching The Walking Dead the jury is out, but so far I'm am staying with it. I like to see another British guy in the lead role, us Brits are just so damn talented!! Still liking the Mentalist too, I know it's incredibly formulaic, but it makes me laugh. And we have now watched Season 2 of Leverage which just gets better and better, so I may well be able to start to read some fan fiction soon, yay!

Well I've had my little rant, now guess what, I've got to go back to working on my essay.....

Just in case I've been missed..........!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to say wotcha, I have recently started work again, just part time, but it has been a real effort getting myself back in the groove, not helped by the Children being ill in the first few weeks, and then me having really bad Astham as a result of getting their horrible virus.
I am enjoying working again, as a psychiatric social worker, in case people are interested in the professional side of me :) But I'm finding it hard juggling all the kid's school and leisure demands with less time at home. The house is quite simply a tip.
Another result of this is that I have been watching less TV, as well as not having so much time to devote to all your wonderful fan fic writers. I intend to try and catch up with some fics that I've notified about, in the last few weeks. I'm off tomorrow, so fingers crossed I will be able to fit some reading in, alongside housework, bleurgh!!
In TV terms, I can't wait for Chuck season 3 to start on UK screens on the 31st, I am enjoying Lost, and all the connections and tying up it's doing, I am so glad that I stuck with it. No sign of when Dexter S4 might start here, but have ended up reading a spoiler for the finale online the other day, gutted!

Hi to every one who knows me, and for all of you who quite understandably think we never have any good weather in the UK, it was 31c today, and I am loving it....

Spring is here.
Dr Who Alone

Well I am well and truely relieved that the Easter holidays are nearly at an end. I have an Inset day to get through on Monday, and then they are all back to school.
At the beginning of the holidays here the Weather was very cold and miserable, but for the last week the weather has been picking up and it's amazing the difference it makes. I have spent the day in the park having a picnic lunch, enjoying chatting to a friend while the boys played happily for hours. They have been playing "How to Train a Dragon". For those of you with Children I would really recommend it if you haven't seen it yet. The kids all loved it, now I am just waiting for all the merchandise to come out......
So that's what the kids have been watching, that and Dr Who. We are all enjoying the Eleventh Dr, but my heart will always pine for the 10th!
Other TV I am watching at the moment, includes Leverage, and I have watched the first episode of Warehouse 13 and thought that might be worth giving a go.  I guess I am just a bit of a Syfy geek at heart. We are still waiting for the 3rd season of Chuck to arrive in the UK. I am enjoying Grey's Anatomy this Season, we are only a bit behind, but Meredith and Derek as a couple have just been completely marginalised now, and for me they make the show.
Other shows on my to watch list include Glee, and Caprica, is any one on my flist watching them?

Found a great little Veronica Mars fic set during the scene where they danced to "Sway"

It's not very long but I really like it, I think the way she writes Logan's thoughts is great. Let me know what  you think.

Just to let people know, in case any of you were wondering, I've been in hospital
I'm out now as you can tell, but I came down with this massive infection in my leg, Cellulitus I think it's called. My lymph nodes popped up and were the size of lemons in my groin, so walking was difficult, and my leg became red and hot (not in a good way) The Doctors said they didn't know why it happened, they said it was one of those odd things.
So I am now back at home although still off work, slowly recovering. I have a job interview on Friday, which is scarey, I hate interviews at the best of times, will let you know how it all goes.

Hi Happy Birthday, do you still use this or not, and can you guess who this is from?

Two of my favourite Actors, it's a bit sad hearing them talking about Moonlight though.
